This class includes step by step instruction for approaching more challenging poses, such as headstand.

Ashtanga Yoga Mysore Practice: Ashtanga is a system of yoga transmitted to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (1915-2009). This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures—a process producing internal heat and purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. In a Mysore practice setting, students move through the Ashtanga series at their own pace with a teacher present for guidance and adjustments.
Jivamukti Yoga: Jivamukti means “liberation while living.” This style is one of nine internationally recognized styles of Hatha yoga, and is popular among students around the world for the way it integrates physical, spiritual and philosophical aspects of yoga. The Jivamukti method was developed by its well-known founders, Sri Sharon Gannon & Sri David Life.
Dharma Mittra Yoga: Founded by living yoga master Sri Dharma Mittra who is well known for his "Master Yoga Chart of 908 Postures." This style consists of 5 different levels of practice. Our beginner/intermediate Dharma Mittra Vinyasa classes are generally levels 1-2.
Integral Yoga: Founded by Sri Swami Satchidananda, this method is designed to integrate every aspect of the individual: physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual. The class is Hatha-based and guides students in asana, deep relaxation, pranayama & chanting.
